Comedic actress Celeste Thorson gets romanced by Neil Patrick Harris on CBS’ How I Met Your Mother

Neil Patrick Harris fantasizes about Celeste Thorson in the “best three-way ever” on How I Met Your Mother 5.19. Celeste hit comedic gold while getting picked up by Neil Patrick Harris in MacLaren’s Pub.

The comedy begin when Marshall (Jason Segel) doesn’t have money for pizza and reveals he was robbed by a mugger (John Dore). Lily (Alyson Hannigan) gets scared and with the help of Robin (Cobie Smulders) decides to get a gun. Marshall doesn’t like the idea Lily getting a weapon so he switches his story and says he was mugged by a monkey that was holding a gun at the zoo. The gang find it hilarious and Robin gets the idea to build up her early show ratings with Marshalls story. Reluctantly Marshal agrees when Robin gets her producers on board they say it could be her big nationwide break. Feeling guilty Marshall confesses to Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) and Ted (Josh Radnor) that he made up the whole monkey story so Lily wouldn’t get a gun. Ted and Barney can’t figure out if Marshall is still lying and Marshall starts having second thoughts about Robin’s show.
Barney makes some legen-dary lemonade out of Marshalls lemons and uses the monkey mugging story to pick up Lisa (Celeste Thorson). When he gets interrupted by Sarah (Collette Wolfe), who he had previously convinced he was Neil Armstrong, he has to cover his tracks. Lisa confuses the Armstrongs and thinks he is talking about Lance the cyclist. He tries to parlay it into a threesome and goes back to the boys to brag about his conquest of the beauties. Marshall and Ted call his bluff when they see his drenched in vodka tonic and has a lime in his hair. Barney continues to spin his elaborate fantasy then reveals he did in fact get two drinks thrown in his face. In an epic quote Barney explains to Marshall “A lie is just a great story that someone ruined with the truth”. The next day Ted brings his beloved Empire State Building model he’s been working on and begs to be interviewed by Robin, but just gets brushed off. When Marshall confesses to Robin about his false zoo story she is forced to squander her national opportunity and interview Ted afterall and an oddball doll collector Simon (Collin Christopher). In the end there is a King Kong parody when the monkey waiting to be interviewed breaks loose and grabs one of Simon’s dolls then climbs the Empire State Model. The episode has received rave reviews from monkey lovers worldwide.
