The Benefits Of Owning An Economy Vehicle

I just have no idea what I would do without my little vehicle. It isn’t especially large or excessively high-priced however it suits my requirements. Sure, my car may have a bumper label on the back stating that my other vehicle is a Porsche, although everybody else on the street knows it’s a tall tale and extremely unlikely to be legitimate, I truly love my little car to bits and wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Even if I didn’t have a passion for my car the way I do and had the chance to exchange it for the world, I couldn’t, because it basically is not possible to get by without a car in this country. Our public transport infrastructure is completely insufficient plus there are no train routes to a number of spots. The municipal bus servive does not operate across the city, just to and from the town hub and it is unreliable and susceptible to disruption due to union strike actions. I know this through years of having to rely on trains and buses which is why I value my vehicle all the more.

Another explanation why I love my automobile is that it’s an economy model and incredibly cheap to run. Although the fuel tank is nowhere near as large as that of a four wheel drive, for example, it costs me much less to fill it up since, not merely is the gas tank smaller but the car also uses less gas than a larger vehicle would. The vehicle body is small and light and due to the fact it is a 1. 3, and it uses less fuel to pull away than say a 16-valve. Not only are the running expenses less, servicing of cars similar to mine is cheaper as well. Oh, and it is a lot cheaper to replace the tires on my car than a bunch of much larger cars with increased torque. What is more, insurance coverage is less on my car as well because it falls into the ‘economy’ category. Insurance companies reckon that a cheaper vehicle is less costly to fix and therefore often charge owners of economy cars less for their insurance cover.

Since I’m a woman I appreciate the manoeuvrability of my small vehicle. I love the certainty that I’m able to park in small places and execute a 3-point turn on a dime, so to speak. I do not like driving my husband’s car for this reason and definitely will take my car over his any day because of the compactness provided by the shorter wheel base. Furthermore,I prefer my car above my husbands’ as it’s a hatchback and not a sedan similar to his. I haven’t been keen to use it since I clipped the side of the again fender on the edge of the brick flower box next to the drive one day. Even though it was a minor scrape and my husband was able to re-attach the fender where it became unclipped as a result of impact, I did not enjoy the feeling of the proportions of the vehicle being greater than what I was used to. Sure I could get used to having a boot protruding at the back but given the choice I will stick with my hatchback, thank you very much!
